Potted history
I've been a compulsive / obsessive watch collector since being given my first very own simple mechanical watch on my ninth birthday while actually on the Clifton suspension bridge in Bristol. As we lived near Liverpool at the time it could hardly be said that my parents were anything but 'imaginative' when it came to choosing memorable locations for gift presentation ! (click the following link here see this amazing feat of 19th century engineering http://www.panavista.eu/#7.7.0 or http://www.clifton-suspension-bridge.org.uk ). My love affair with watches began in that moment, June 1st 1966 and has been one of the most enduring passions in my life ever since.
Besides astronomy and travel my other lifelong passion / occuption / obsession since growing into long trousers has been photography
(photography has actually been my principal means of generating an income and paying the bills over the last 25 years).
The images seen below are something of a hotch-potch in terms of subject matter but are representative of the diverse range of subjects I've been asked to photograph over the years. These days I rarely undertake commissioned photographic work and only if the project is sufficiently interesting or the financial inducements offered are of tbe' too good to refuse' kind.
So far so good, I sleep in my own bed every night and have never found myself without something to do. My transition from camera jockey into virtual shopkeeper is happily allowing me to indulge my passion for watches (especially watch straps) as well as my ongoing need to be producing images, I now only wonder why didn't I think of this before !?
Anyway, I hope you like my web site and perhaps more importantly - any items you choose to buy from it. If you have any comments on how how it might be improved or should you find any dead links - please don't hesitate to tell me, virtual shop keeping is something of a solitary pursuit and contact with the world outside of my garden shed will help keep me in touch with just what's going on out there . . .
